In early December 2024, Fujian Aotai Automation Equipment Co., Ltd. officially put into use the advanced river measurement system tailored for a hydrological department in Guangdong. The system is powered by solar energy, environmentally friendly and not limited by geographical environment. It is equipped with wireless 4G transmission function to ensure stable data transmission.

The core component ADV ultrasonic Doppler flow sensor operates based on the Doppler effect. When the ultrasonic waves emitted by the sensor propagate in flowing water, suspended particles or bubbles in the water will cause a frequency shift in the reflected waves. By measuring the frequency difference between the emitted and reflected waves, combined with relevant algorithms, the water flow velocity can be accurately calculated, and data such as the average flow velocity of the cross-section can be obtained.

Due to the use of contact measurement method, the sensor is directly in contact with the water body, reducing external interference and achieving high accuracy in water measurement. It can accurately measure multiple important hydrological data such as water level elevation, water temperature, average flow velocity and average flow rate of the cross-section. During the measurement process, the host can display various data in real time, which facilitates on-site observation and analysis by the staff. At the same time, the data is transmitted in real-time to the server through 4G network, providing timely and accurate data basis for decision-making of relevant departments, effectively improving the intelligence level and work efficiency of hydrological monitoring in Guangdong region, and promoting the water conservancy industry to a new level.
